Once the pistils on the upper most buds have started to turn brown, when will the lower ones follow suit...? or should i not wait and harvest once the very top are brown? im under pressure cos the weather is getting real cold real quick. dunno what strain the plants are.... cheers
you should be ok as regards to the weather, these plants when reconise that winter is oncoming to induce more browning on your pistils, wait until the plants are 80% brown (no less or you will lose alot) then harvest, in the meantime while you waiting on your pistls turning browner you will see the very lower buds being more browner that the top, you can pick about 3 or 4 buds of each plant and smoke then whilst you wait, but do wait
