Brown tips and spots...

  1. Hello All!
I would like to ask you for help. I have a growing problem - the leaves of my plant are turning brown starting from the tip, and surrounding the leaf.
Also, my plants are growing very slowly - they have more than a month and one of them is 5 cm, the other one around 10cm.

The plants are PPP from feminized seeds.
I'm fertilizing them with NPK 8:3:4. The Ph is 6.4. 20 hrs of light/day (tungsten warm 55W + tungsten cold 18W).

    Pictures below.
    Can you help?

    Thanks!

  2. Nutrient burn. Don't fertilize seedlings.

  3. What would cause the slow growth then? I thought it might be phosphorous or potassium deficiency...
You're sure about that fertilizing? These are one month old.

  4. you are feeding too soon, & your soil maybe sour now, evident, since they havent grown

as small as they are it would be easier to transplant into new soil as opposed to attempting to repair your soil

  5. OK, guys! Thanks for the tips - I'll do that and we'll see then. I hope it's not to late for my babies ;]

  6. Also, when should I start to feed, so I will do it right this time...?

  7. by the time they recover(evidence of new growth)they will be old enough to begin feeding @ 1/4 strength ferts

  8. Ok, I have three types o fert [NPK]:

    15:8.7:12.5
4:2:6 [organic tomato and veg. liquid feed]
    8:3:4

Which one would you reccomend to start with, and which one to follow in vegetative stage of growth?

How to use them and how often?

I know I'm asking too many questions, but it's my first grow ;]

  9. 15:8.7:12.5 start at 1/4 strength to see how the plant react....feed every 3 watering

    or try this

    Vegatative cycle fertilizer
Miracle-Gro® Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food (they make several fertilizers be sure its this one)

    Fertilizer Analysis: 24-8-16 with micronutrients
2 level "Teaspoons" per gallon of water, (reduce this by 50% first time application) use this as your water, feed every other watering till flowering

  10. I'll have to stick with the one you chose for me (it's also Miracle-Gro, by the way ;]).
At the moment I live in Ireland, and they don't sell anything good in here (grass is overpriced and the worst kind, so I have to grow my own...)- this fertilizer was the best I found... There were also some other types of fertilizers, but all of them around 4:2:6.

I'll use it if I don't find anything close to the one you've mentioned.

Thanks a lot for your help GanjaGuerilla! Dobry chlopak z Ciebie, as I would say ;]

  11. It's aaalive... It's aaalive!
It worked - plants are recovering fast and finally start growing! ;]
    One more time - THANKS!
