Hello all, I detailed my problems in my grow journal (http://forum.grasscity.com/organic-grow-journals/1069715-green-manotaurs-garden-3.html#post15260962) but I am hoping for a more direct response in the sick plants section. Hope this doesn't violate any double post rules. A little background - Indoor, two #10 Smart Pots Strain: Cinderella 99 from Female Seeds About 18" from a 600W MH One plant is a 3-4 weeks old, the other is about 2. I am growing in an organic medium from a highly reputable local organic nursery I currently "feed" with water/silica only. Occasionally I top dress with some cut clover, which is being grown in the same pot. Temps stay around high 70s, low 80s during the day with 40% humidity. At night, temps drop to low 70s, high 60s and humidity gets as high as 75%. I have a strong fan blowing at all times. No bugs that I can see but that doesn't mean they aren't there. There is one pic with an overturned leaf with a couple spots but that may be dirt. I will scope it today. On to the problems... In a couple places, it appears that the edges of the leaf is missing/chewed up.This is only present on big mama. The little one has the next two issues though. I am also seeing browning on other edges. Several spots on both plants have dark brown spots. I fear that this damage is stunting the growth of the little one. 2 days before these pics were taken, after lights off I sprayed with my usual prevention spray (no previous problems) - 1 quart tepid water, 1.5 teaspoons neem oil, 1 teaspoon liquid silica, 1 tablespoon aloe vera. Lights stayed off for 6 hours after spray. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! Any guesses? It really hasn't gotten any worse so as of now I'm going to chalk it up to randomness and see if I see any adverse affects after giving it the neem spray down tonight.
Little drops of water on the leaves can act as a magnifying glass and burn the plant very fast so be careful with that, maybe a few drops remained on when the light went on.
That could have been it. It was certainly humid in there so they may not have evaporated quickly enough. I'll certainly have a better idea after tonight. Thanks for the response, gthumb.
Turns out my neem recipe was way off. Was using 1.5 tsp neem 1 tsp silica 1 Tbsp aloe 1 quart water Will now use (trusted recipe from LD) 1 tsp neem 1/2 tsp silica 1 Tbsp aloe 1 qt. water D'oh!
