Hi y'all I have brown specks in my phelgm. I brought it up to my doctor and he doesn't seem very concerned. Full disclosure; I am a light smoker (3 a day max.) I also smoke weed (once a day). Moderate back and chest pain (I associate this with coughing up the phelgm) and after coughing up this phelgm I always need to blow my nose. Anybody else have a similar experience? Help!
The tobacco will do it... When I got a bit addicted to adding a pinch of tobacco in the bowl with my weed I'd cough brown shit up a lot. But I quit that nasty shit and it's went away.
It can happen with just cannabis too, happens to me smoking only cannabis when I smoke on a regular basis, it is the cilia in your lungs forcing our tar and other irritants, but like Granny above says, vaporizer is much easier on the lungs and this doesn't happen to be when I switch to only vaping. One of the many bad things about tobacco is it paralyzes the cilia in the lungs so all that tar and irritants just stay in your lungs, get away from the tobacco if you can!
Yeah I mainly smoke out of a water pipe with an ash catcher and some liquud on top of the water to keep the resin down. Though now that I think about it im sure if I smoked more joints and blunts id cough up way more brown shit...
Happens to me sometimes with just weed too, when I used to smoke this terrible rock solid hash I was always coughing up black stuff, i just assumed it was the lungs getting rid of the resin or crap or whatever the hell it is, I don’t think it’s anything worry about
