I thought this movie was going to be amazing but instead I felt let down the entire movie. I felt like I was always waiting for a clear plot or some action and the movie never delivered. Half of the movie consisted of the brother ice skating and swinging with his brother's wife and the kids...it was boring and uneventful and the "main character" seemed like a distant memory for most of the movie, The directors also failed to produce any sympathy for the brother in the marines because of how barbaric he seemed for most of the movie and because there was no initial character development. Any thoughts?
I couldn't disagree more. I loved this movie. Every actor played their roles perfectly, especially the two little girls. They made that movie as great as it was. And yes the main character was barbaric, but it's because he was suffering from PTSD. He had to do some terrible things in Afghanistan, and that changed him as a person, that was the whole point of the movie.
