Broken slider

    The other night I hosted a small party at my house. After plenty of beerpong, in a drunken stupor I decided to try to clean out my bong's slider and bowl. I used a thin paintbrush and it ended up cracking breaking the glass slider. All the headshops in town recently got raided and the bongs all got taken away so I cant buy a new slider anytime soon.

    Would it be safe for me to duct tape the slider (the main broken part is not the part which you pack, but a little farther down the stem) together or would this be toxic? It still smokes fine, I just cant pull the slider out to clear the chamber unless I... well, make it into one piece again.
