Broken Bong question

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Habsguy26, Feb 14, 2014.

  1. Hi there, new member here..

I have a question that hopefully someone here can answer. I broke the top piece of the neck of the bong and I super glued it back on. Well the glue seeped down into the bong and left a long streak. I've been trying for awhile to remove it. I can't seem to get it out though. It's hanging on pretty tough. The glue though is only in the water. I am wondering if it's still okay to use. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

    happy toking.

  2. I wouldn't touch that bong until you buy some hardrock salt and 91% isopropyl alcohol, or buy Grunge Off.

once you clean that glue out, go to the hardware store and buy some Epoxy adhesive, this is meant for glass and is safe to use with a bong.

super glue is toxic as fuck and can't withstand pressure and heat like epoxy

  3. thanks :)

  4. just another question if you wouldn't mind.. how will the salt and alcohol remove the glue?

  5. shake it around and it should come off quick, if not try using some soap.

make sure you wash the hell out of it with water too

  6. Thanks dude I just got it off :) It's too late here to go to the store, so I just used listerine... worked like a charm! You're a life saver dude! cheers

  7. next time just tape the top part of your bong back onto the bottom half i did this exact thing when mine broke like that and the tape is on the outside so its not like it will get burnt or anything.
