Broke my bowl :(

    This was the first bong I had ever bought. I broke the bowl without even using it, tragic right? My friend said I'll be able to replace the bowl but how do I go about doing this? Are they easy to get? How will I know which bowl will be able to fit into my bong? Please help :)

    Is it a glass bong, if so then yea it should not be that hard as they tend to come in standard sizes. What bong is it

    no bong expert but if its a slide bowl you need, measure the hole on the downstem, should be 18mm or 14.5mm. then buy bowl accordingly. or if you need to buy a bowl already attached to a downstem then measure the opening you put the downstem into and buy stem and bowl to whatever size needed.

    me thinks?

    Yeah its a glass bong, you pull the bowl out and it has the downstem which pulls out with it. How do I measure it accurately? Also, what if I buy a new bowl and the downstems too long?

    Just take it to the headshop, they will take care of you...as long as you know the dimensions of your bowl piece. If you don't they should still be able to help you find what you need

    Couldn't you just take your bong in there and show them what you got?

    If you do this, MAKE SURE IT IS 100% CLEAN.

    If it has a long tube that comes out after the bowl, like a couple inches long the diameter of a pencil, then it's 9 or 12mm. If you have a ground glass attatchment that seals without an oring, you probably have 14.4 or 18.8. Very rarely it could be 29.9 i believe but that's just on higher end pieces for the most part.

    If the downstem comes out to be safe you could take it out go to your local shop and show them the downstem..so you know that it will fit

    ok this is what i did when this happened to me, you take a nickel if the nickel fits or almost fits to the female end of your downstream (meaning the hole in which you place the bowl) then its an 18mm if its clearly too big its a 14mm. these are the two standard sizes for glass bongs. Bowls have a massive range in price just like any bong, attachment or glass piece for that matter. The prices can range from a few bucks to $100+, but if you go to your LHS you will most likely not find a bowl over 50 or 60 bucks. My advice is to get a great bowl and take care of it ill will last longer and will be better. I would get a worked(colored) bowl with a glass screen(multiple holes not just one single hole) looks great and is optimized for maximum air flow. IMO I an after market bowl is better than the one that you get any ways, also this way your piece is unique and you can change it up to look how ever you would like.

    Unless your in Canada, none of that only tobbacco and not a bong its a waterpipe bull that ppl say in the states

    yeah I will post a picture later on tonight It will be easier for me to understand what you guys are saying cas I dont really know the names of the different parts of a bong

    Bong, Bowl, Downstem^

    Depending on if it was cheap china glass or expensive quality glass a new bowl can run you anywhere from $5-$50+.

    I suggest you post those pictures, I'll come back and take a look when they're up :).

    I've took my dirty bong to a headshop for a replacement downstem, it was chill...:D

    ^I agree, some people make it seem very serious... You have to say "waterpipe" not "bong" etc, etc.. But from personal experience A lot of these people (HS owners) don't seem to mind much.

    But then again, better safe than sorry ;).

    My LHS owner is stingy about it when there's a good amount of people in there, otherwise she doesn't care. The other workers, however, don't take it too kindly with the exception of the owner's daughter. She's chill :smoke:

    It really just depends on area and the personality of the person :confused_2:

    Dig the bong brah. Go to your local head shop and get a new bowl. I'm guessing a 14 1/2 mm bowl would fit that judging by the size. Nice bong for sure tho.

    My buddy just got kicked out of one he had to drive 2 hours to for asking for a kief scraper.


    No no no, 14.4 is a glass on glass size. That would be 9mm I believe.

    I cant make it to headshop where I live so Internet is my only option. So where do i measure on whats left of my bowl?
