Broke a plant, still alive

Well, Today I was moving some plants around and well, the only plant left of my durban poison broke, the main stalk pretty much snapped right in half, Not completely, its still connected just broke enough so its not able to support the top half on its own, its been broke for a couple hours now but the leaves on top half still have life in them, there is however one fan leaf that is drooping bad about 1 inch above the break line, I'm going to put some type of bracing on the stalk to hold it up, sortve like a splint, anyways, my questin is, am I waisting my time? Is it gonna make it? .. This is my favorite kid here..
     
  2. Put a stake in the soil to support the weight of the plant. Then mend the wound with cello tape (good amount of it too). After that, get some twist ties, hemp twine, or pipe cleaners and tie up the stem to the stake. Don't tie too hard, or you'll cut off circulation. Good luck.
