ive been hearing a lot about these things spreading around at least in socal.. dont know much about em but they mess a plant up pretty bad apparently. anyone know anything about them? or know if standard preventatives work like neem or azamax or spinosad? i would hate to learn that you need something like avid or floramite to kill these things. its got me scared and paranoid looking at any plant with a problem.
Here's an IPM bulletin from UC Davis on broad mites. It looks like they're hard to control according to them. IMO providing your plant/s with as healthy an environment as possible is a first step toward prevention. If you search google and prefix your search with <site:edu> then broad mites IPM there are a lot of different management protocols.
