British Columbia Marijuana, everyone read and be enlightened

    Hey there. I've written this before but I would like to clear up some misconceptions about BC bud. If you are coming to British Columbia for a marijuana holiday avoid Vancouver completely. All you see all over the internet is BS about Vancouver pot and how phenomenal it is. Unless you are very lucky with being hooked-up all you will usually find in Vancouver is low-quality warehouse-weed grown by greasy motorcycle gangs. Please do not buy that garbage as most of the proceeds from your purchase will go directly to the United States where it will be traded for cocaine and guns which will then be brought back into Canada.

    Most areas outside of Vancouver usually have decent pot with some exceptions. The desert areas aren't that great, you will find good pot but you will pay out the ass because it's probably brought in from another area. A good rule is better pot will gravitate to the areas with lakes and rivers around them. Stick to the interior or kootenay areas. Anything north of halfway between Kamloops and Prince George is usually poor-quality so that's off limits too.

    In my humble opinion you will find the best quality overall in the Shuswap area. Especially the area directly around Shuswap Lake, Salmon Arm is a good base for your Cannabis needs, and best of all it is DIRT-CHEAP, and I cannot stress that enough :). Other than that, Nelson in the Kootenays has a large population of hippies and medical users so inevitably good pot tends to float around.

    I hope that you have been enlightened by my PSA. I hope I have not offended anyone in Vancouver by my honestly. If you live there I hope you are getting good pot and not supporting the criminals down there.

    I'm a Nvanner & I don't pickup from the HA gangs.. & We got awesome dank!

    Vancouver's just like any other city.. You go downtown and pickup weed randomly you obviously aren't gonna be hooked up. But some of the best weed is grown here so do your homework and you'll have an awesome time here. :D

    I've read links from this board as well as other sites that talk about the ability to get some pretty dank shit at cafe's and some pot friendly B&Bs... Is this not true?

    lol.. the only time i went to vancouver (too young to know the benefits of toking) the freakin' BC Hells Angels were on the ferry!!! how could i not see this before?

    i'll keep that in mind, but i still hear things about the pot block and the cafes there. didn't know it was so greasy. my friend went to i think it was Cranbrook (started with a C) and Kelowna and got hooked up fat.

    Ive been going to whistler the last 3 years to snowboard, and the bud is unbelievable for the price... i hate america and their stupid fuckin laws

    ?? lived in vancouver all my life. whenever im in town and grab bud off of some random, ive never been dissapointed.


    but as said before, like any town, theres good and bad. dont be deterred though. ive never found better bud on vacation before, but thats not difinitive.

    Just cuz its BC bud sure as hell doesnt mean its gunna be good.

    In fact here in seattle ( perty close to the border) B.C. bud is actually a term of low grade shit, you do NOT want it.

    But there are really great B.C. strains that will come through that knock u on your ass, you just have to know the right people.

    local bud is the best around here.

    I live by Vancouver (10 mins away) and im pretty sure i always get good weed. (i take 4 hits and im done everytime. my friend has to do about 10 though so mabye its tolerance)

    what do you smoke out of? 10 bong ripps of is alot... even if it is dirt weed. If it takes 10 bong rips to get high (I don't care how high your tolerance is) then the weed is shitty.

    One or two huge bong hits of dank and I'm ripped. I smoke 1-5 times a day.

    Bah, don't knock it till ya try it. We were just discussing today that average BC bud is upper grade double A. But BC bud club weed, downtown van, will rock your socks. Hairy lil buggers to..:D

    bongs are crazy. i just bought one and i love it and hate it at the same time. its fun as fuck to smoke out of, and it gets me blasted in no time flat, but when its all said and fucking done, the thing eats through my bag like nothing. lol part of the problem is they give you huge hits, the other problem for me, is that i love smoking out of it so 3 hits from 1 bowl isnt enough i get the urge to pack another. >.< now i am potless. bah that is my rant about my new bong

    man, im right by the border. so aLOT of buds from B.C. come down here.

    And its mostly the dealers who are still trying to come up, or assholes who buy it and sell it for more.

    its orange haired all the time, and has a piney taste. so you get a sack and ur like " shit man, i aint tryin to buy none of this canadian wat else u got"

    But if you got the connects, you get the same shit, just way better looking, smelling, and good smoke.

    Or the Local buds that are fresh, and have great strains and are very potent (mango, grapefruit, papaya, ect)

    I do find it funny how some people seem to beleive that, if its BC, Its dank.


    Adam, your talking about the rolling stones i assume? You should come on down for Hempfest! I got a place you can stay for the 2 days. :smoke:
