Ok so i finally decided to start a grow journal.... its prolly gonna start off a lil slow since their still only a few days into veg... but hopefully there will be some action later on. oh and btw everything i post in this journal is all fictional fantasy grow and the pictures i found on the internets So this is my first hydroponic try using rockwool cubes and ive been learning alot, i really like soil better than these rockwool cubes though I planted 9 PW in rockwool cubes and only ended up with 3 that survived. There are 3 other rockwool cubes 1 is a autoflower roadrunner dwarf(freebie) and the other 2 are mystery mix beans (freebies) Since i ended up with such a low sprout rate using the rockwool cubes i decided to throw the last 4 PW beans into some cups with soil.... fox farms OF btw. I had a 100% germ rate with these purple wrecks from reserva privada dna/subcool and im pretty shure the other 6 that died in the rockwool were caused by my faults. I let them sprout for too long in a cup of water and im pretty shure i damaged their root putting them into the rockwool. So anyways lets get to the pictures. The 4 green cups are purple wreck the one red cup is a feminised Smurfberry from sagarmartha... shes the only survivor of my last grow... which was ended due to some fucked up circumstances. The 3 rockwool cubes against the green cups are purple wreck as well and the other 3 are the 2 lucky mix and the one in the middle is the autoflower roadrunner. They will be going under the 400w hps within the next couple days. their under a 250w cfl for now.
I see your going organic. Very smart move. Excellent move on your lighting as well. Wish you all the best of luck. Peace, jay
here are some pics of the new purple wreck sprouts in fox farms soil.... i know u couldent see em in the last pik cuz i still got them inside plastic bags for high humidity... these are the babies ill be taking great care of and the ones that im planning to go smoothly.... like i said im new at the whole rockwool hydro deal so im not shure how the others will make it lol you can see the right cup this girl is gonna be joining the party late, but she still has her little helmet shell protecting her lol... im leaving it alone tho itll pop off by itself... let nature do its thing
Hey Bruv, Glad to see you got a Journal going!!! It may serve no other purpose other than just for you to look back on, but it's a cool thing, trust me...That one bean that still has it's little helmet on will be a funny grower I bet. I had one did the very same thing, and it grew way different than the rest, I mean it even looked different...Well, you know I'm down to ride on your new thread, bro, count me in...I'll talk to you soon Homey, peace for now
Well a little update today... everything going good, im about to cut up my tuppawear container to put the net cups in for my bubble bucket since the rockwool cubes are showing roots now. As for the babies in soil, they are doing good I will be transplanting the smurfberry into its final container today, and the others will stay in the dixie cups till they are a bit bigger. I fucked up though and i hurt the last PW to sprout... she was up and leaves open but her shell was still stuck to her leaf kinda hanging there i figured it just needed a little push/tug to get it off .... like ive had before on other plants... but not to mention i was pretty tipsy at the time and i accidently ripped her leaf.... its one of the first rounded leafs that end up dying off anyways so im hoping she will recover... i think it might have reattached itself since i dident completelly tear it off just kinda tore it a little, and it seems like its back together but i dont wanna mess with it lol
glad to have you join my journal, i think she is really gonna grow retarded now that i already put her through some abuse lol
OKAY...now, we definitly need to talk...this was my next project too...but I know NOTHING about 'em other than I really really like to eat them, lol...I need you to tell me what I need to get started on some of my own if you could, are you experienced with growing them already? Post back, tell me what I can go waste my money on while I've got some to waste, lol...I want some!!!! Peace Bro!
Well today I was doing some work getting the new grow room set up... I moved the plants in the rockwool cubes into their final resting place, net cups with hydroton rocks inside a 30 gallon rubbermaid i think i went a little big but fuck it.... I was going to transplant the smurfberry but i completelly forgot and watered her so ill prolly do that tomorrow wen the soils dryed up and i can transplant her easier I also got to set up my 400w HPS cooltube, so im shure they will enjoy the extra light/wattage and should start growing better than they were under the CFL's. Within the next few days ill be doing more work to the room including cleaning it out and putting up some reflectix i picked up from home depot thats supposed to reflect 97% of energy. -Brisk
Dude 5 gallons per plant will be perfect, but I'm a little concerned about them being so close to each other. If the strain is bushy your going to have a hard time making it into flowering. If they lollipop, with one fat bud you'll be OK. Are you planning on a short veg period?
That was my concern too, thats why i went with the big 30 gal because i figure i could have more room between them all... ill definatelly be keeping a close eye on them and i have other tuppawears/buckets laying around to isolate them if they do start getting too close for comfort. I do plan on a short veg... the 4 purple wrecks in the soil are a few days behind the ones in the hydro setup and the smurfberry have been going for about a week, and i plan to maybe veg for only about another 1 1/2-2 weeks depending how they look im not too shure... like you said about them being bushy and big, im gonna try my best to put them into flower at just the right time for a nice SOG.... hopefully as they get bigger i can get some input from you guys on when should be a good time to flower them. also i figure ill have a little more room when i get to harvest the autoflower dwarfs, since they will be early... which will leave me with 7 PW and 2 unknowns ... im guessing ill end up with like 4-5 females in total
Ok so heres a little update for today... bear with me as i am buzzing pretty good... i decided to drink early today So the new grow room has been the same.... i notice that the plants in the hydro tub are growing slower than the ones in soil... this could be that the light is closer to the ones in soil and also that the ones in soil are getting the extra nutrients in the fox farms soil... ether way i dont care like i said the 4 PW in soil are the ones im looking forward too anyways... the smurfberry is doing good... shes in a nice big container now so shes been stretching upwards towards the light... im hoping she will not hermie since she went through some stress earlier in life. i also notice some leaf curl on them.. which im thinking could be a magnesium deficiency
Hey bro, things are lookin' really good...how's the other thing going? I'm so happy you got PW bro. Every day I look at my plant, I wash I could have gotten another female lol...this will be the best dank I've ever smoked for sure...LMAO drinkin' early huh? Well I bet your'e shit-faced by now, HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!! WOOT WOOT! lollz later bro
lol well the other project had to get thrown out unfortunatelly but supplies are on the way for my 3rd try, that im hoping and confident imma get right this time. Im really glad i got the Pw too I cant wait to put them into flower... i was thinking ill prolly do that sometime at the end of the week which will have gave them 2 weeks in veg, do you think this is enough time? or should i let them go longer?
Well heres a little update from last night.... ive noticed some leaf curl on them which im thinking might be a magnesium deficiency.... the odd thing is that were the leaves curled u can see purple under the leaves and its only on the tips of the leaves I threw the smurfberry out, she ended up being a he... or actually a he-she because it was supposed to be a fem seed. the end of the week will mark 2 weeks in veg, I dont want to put them into 5 gal buckets untill i know their sex, so i was thinking of transplanting into 8" or 10" pots then wait till they show their sex, that way i dont waste all that soil putting males into 5 gal buckets what do you guys think?
I say you put them all in 5 gallons right away, then DEMAND that they all turn out female... or your way; whichever works for you. They're looking real good so far; I want to see what the PW can do in case the seeds are still available in a few months. Good luck m8 Peace DM
