I dont think that is a good idea but I've never really read any research on it so may be ignorant in the subject. I was also a nutrition nazi when pregnant and breastfeeding. I calmed down a lot since then
I tried breastfeeding for a short time with my first daughter and didnt like it & haven't done it with my second daughter and i'm not going to do it with my baby boy when I have him soon either. I heard it was bad for the baby if you do that when you get high. There are other ways to feed your baby as well and they are just as good. ~Toni~
in our world breast feeding is a must other than food it develops the upper lip during those early years at least to be able speak correctly later maybe not English but works for Russian, French, even Chinese when I learnt English I had to speak with a confection or grape in my mouth to say the words correct ...lol to turn down that upper lip ....lolololol good luck
Bad idea. Even though studies are scarce for obvious reasons, it's not worth the risk. "Although published data are limited, it appears that main psychoactive component of cannabis, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is excreted into breastmilk in small quantities. Concern has been expressed regarding cannabis's possible effects on neurotransmitters, nervous system development and endocannabinoid-related functions.[1][2] One long-term study found that daily or near daily use might retard the breastfed infant's motor development. Some evidence indicates that paternal cannabis use increases the risk of sudden infant death syndrome in breastfed infants." Cannabis use while Breastfeeding | Drugs.com

This is a close subject for me, and I'm overwhelmingly pro breast feeding - there is no better or even equal substitute, many huge health/emotional benefits for mum and babe. Not always possible, of course, though. I think it's a case of benefits/risks. My wife has MS, and has breastfed all our 4 children while using cannabis rather than prescription big pharma MS meds, which have known documented side effects, and all of them are thriving in all areas now. Regards the SIDS thing, I did look into it a lot, and came to the conclusion cannabis use while breastfeeding probably didn't increase the risk. Some studies suggested a higher incidence among families where the mother smoked cannabis, but they didn't take into account other lifestyle habits along with it. For example, smoking tobacco alongside cannabis, or other drug use etc. Tobacco, specifically nicotine, is the one of the biggest risk factors, though I can't now remember the biological reason for it (I think it suppressed a breathing response, even at tiny doses).
I know a manager of a shop here..I dont recall everything but iirc she stated after a certain trimester she could smoke .
