    You think Robert Gates could possibly be much better than Rumsfeld??? I personally think Gates is nuts and psychotic.

    Yeah but so has nearly every secretary of defense. I agree, I've done a little reading and this guy sounds just a bad.


    The horrible things about rummy though is that he completley refused to listen to any sound military advice. He just did his own thing resulting in the death of thousands of soldiers, tens of thousands of civillians and the near-eviseration of civil liberties.

    Hopefully Gates is a little more reasonable.

    A hollow victory.. Rummy is just a scapegoat to protect Bush and his puppet masters. He's being swept under the rug because the repubes have an election to worry about.
