Man this show is SO GOOD. But my one and only greviance is this SHITTY street talk... Its terrible lol. Everytime Jesse (The white street boy) talks or has a conversation with one of his street buddies I just want to hurt myself. Maybe it has to do with being from NY and actually being around people that he is suppose to be portraying.. its just bad.. It had to have been writin by white boys from the OC or something.
Haha I know what you mean it's kinda funny though. And definitley OC boys... Jesse ends every sentence saying man, haha.
well people from new mexico im sure generally talk a little different than those from NY. idk ive never been bothered by this this show is fucking awesome though always has me on the edge of the seat

I am absolutely addicted to this show. But Im not annoyed by how they talk.. its a damn television show, watch and enjoy it Not everything needs to be over-analysed.
Since when is Jesse from 'the street'?? He's a white boy from the suburbs. The way he talks is pretty accurate, considering.

Well, based of Jesse's demenor and appearence, he looks like every mall rat hot topic alternative kid trying to rebel against "the man", and my experience is they talk a lot of smack to look/sound tough...and they're generally just pretentious adolescents who are so bent of being their own person that they manage to act and look like every moron in their same boat... The only difference is that Jesse is actually a pretty hardcore dude because he does walk the walk...though I think the are trying to portray him as someone who would never wanted the violence/killing part of the business but has had to do it to continue making the big bucks. Also, like some mentioned, they're in NM. Maybe that's just how street slang works down there.
yup i been addicted to the show since it priemeired 5 or 6 yrs ago. I've always thought some of jesse's lines were corny, but didnt effect my enjoyment.
Honestly. I come from a middle-upper middle class town.. And EVERYONE started doing tweak a couple years back.. And they all talk EXACTLY like Jesse. It's just the way they talk lol Walt: "You know my name.. You ALL know my name.." Other Tweak Kingpin: "I have no idea.." Walt: "I killed [Insert Spoiler Name]" Other dude: " Heisenberg?"
not annoyed at all by how jesse talks but then again i live in new york in suburbia and i hear it everday
