brand new grower...=/.

  1. Hello everyone.
I am very, very new to growing.
I just started growing in a secluded forest-type area close to a small river. Camouflage haha.
But I never germinated the seeds in a container with paper towels or whatever.
I just stuck the seeds in the ground, and watered them.
It's been about four days or so since I've done this, and I was just wondering...
like what are the chances of the plant even growing or anything?
I didn't use store-bought soil or anything yet.
I've watered them about three times, and I haven't seen any growth.
I'm scared to over-water them and all though.
Basically, what do you guys think?
Will it start to grow or not?
Do I need to wait a little bit longer or what?
    Thanks guys.

  2. It usually takes a day to three to germinate and another few days for it to poke out of the soil. One good watering a day is enough. Once it sprouts, water it once, let the soil dry out, then water again. Every few days.

There's a good chance it will sprout. But if you really want it to grow, caaaarefully dig it up, get some good soil, and plant it back in the good soil.

  3. Oh okay, I see.
    Thanks a lot man. =D.
I'll see how that soil in the forest works.
And if it doesn't grow, I've learned my lesson right?
And I'll know what to do next time.
