Bovidia 62%

  1. How are you useing the packs? I got 20 packs of the 62%.
I read people useing them differently. Some are drying and curing then putting the packs in to finish/store. Some are drying and then useing the packs to actually cure.

    How do you use them?

  2. You use them to cure. Dry it first then put it in glass jars with one each inside. It will cause the correct amount of humidity inside while curing and creating better, tighter and tastier buds. When your packs dry out, stick them in water to re hydrate them.

Open your containers to let excess moisture out over time. Maybe twice a week starting out then once a week then once every two weeks and so on.

  3. I would not rely on them if your pot is too wet. But they do an excellent job in a jar. Will keep pot perfect for at least a year. 1 per mason jar. I've tried on top, in the middle and on the bottom. Makes no difference. I like one on the bottom. I have high humidity in summer and they don't help if you put wet pot in a jar. You need to get it dry first. They work really well in winter when my pot is already dry. And will restore overly dried weed back to excellent moisture.

  4. I hang dry for 4-7 days then jar for 6-8 weeks depending on smell then add the pack for long term storage

  5. dry the buds and then place them in mason jar with boveda and it will either draw moisture out or put moisture into the buds to get them at 62%. I use them there great

  6. Sounds good Bro I need to get these I didn't know they made them to get the humidity to a certain percentage. I assume you fill a jar full of dry bud and put them in. Like 2 packets

  7. People are saying use 1 I'd use 2 or 3 to make sure they hold the humidity at 63

  8. I normally dry and then cutre with hygrometers, this just seemed easier, put in a pack and burp daily. I normally spend ages watching it rise, burp, repeat.

But I see a lot of people saying if you start curing with the packs as soon as you jar they lose smell, or all start smelling the same. I want to keep the terps not lose them.
I read it's better to cure and then use the packs just for storage... But I also read some saying they start with the packs with no ill effects :/

Do you notice any smell smell loss?

I guess I'll just find out myself and do half one way and half the other.

Drying is good. Rh 53%, 21/22c, largest should be ready in ten latest days hopefully

  9. I used Boveda 62% on my last harvest. Didn't lose any smell compared to my last harvest when I didn't have them . I put them in the jar until it got to 62% rh . Then after a day or so , I removed the pack from the jars. The bud then held the humidity around 62% by it self. I am a rookie but this was best harvest (out of 3).

Think it depends on what size packs you get and how big the jar is you are using. I had the 8 gram packs. I used 1 pack for Qt size jar , it worked good. I guess I could used 2 packs a jar but I didn't see a point. If I had the 4 gram packs, 2 might be needed.
