Well I got a few of these Boveda humidity packs for free and was wondering how they worked? Do I just throw them in the mason jars during curing? They are 62 percent on the package. Thanks.
Yes, pretty much. They're good until they harden up. They last quite a few months normally unless you leave them out. And 62% is where it should be at. Good luck with curing results!
Used them last grow and they worked great. Be sure before you store your herb with the packs that you are close to the target humidity (62%). If it is to high, when you put the Boveda's in the packs will not be able to absorb all the moisture. If they are to dry then they will not be able to provide enough moisture to raise the RH to 62%. I stored my previous harvest for about 3 months without burping (because I went to europe right after harvesting) and the buds still looked and smelled great when I got back.
