I went to my local super market and purchased a game card. For those who don't play WoW, inside the box there is this 10 day free trial guest pass (quite annoying really). So long story short I picked up the box and I heard something rattling inside so never thought twice that anything would be wrong. Well as you can easily assume, the rattling was the 10 day guest pass and there was no game card. Shit sucks, just hope I can get a new one... I mean I can't prove that I just didn't take the card and I'm trying to get my 30 bucks back or scam them for another. So next time any of you WoW players purchase a game card, check to make sure the bottom adhesive strip is still on...
Look man that happen to me, I called Blizzard and told them. I sent them a serial code on the box, and then they called and put the card on my account, and gave me a free month. Call Blizz imo.
sounds like a good way to go about it, never had to personally call blizzard other then an account hacking. If that fails htough, if you go to yourstore and seriously get the balls to be stiff about not walking out of there without your money, you should get a refund. 90% of stores will eventually give in to whatever refund you're trying to get if you stick to it, but if they tell you "sorry we cant" and you walk out. then they save their money and you lose yours. Play the "i thought the customer was always right? you failed to prevent theft and now i must pay for that?" etc
This is actually what I intended to do, but then customer service called the manager, then she told me that problems like that sometimes happen at Target, and to call Blizzard. If Blizzard doesn't help me then to go and see her. It was a Sunday, so Monday I called and Blizzard was really cool about it. They like knew exactly what to do in that type of situation.
