Bottom leaves are dying

  1. The bottom leaves of my plant are dying. My friend said that just happens sometimes. They're turning into a burnt color and are shriveling up. Is this just part of the growth cycle?

  2. could be burning them with nutes..

  3. Could be just part of the budding process.
Plants move nitrogen from the leaves to the buds - 'cas the buds always win.

You didnt say how you are growing - raw dirt - bucket - hydro, etc. and that really matters in this kind of thing. You also did not state what phase your plant is in nor what feeding schedule you have going ... makes it tough....

I have found that if you are not over / under watering a plant the next issue is pH control - the next thing that knocks um down is lack of nitrogen - followed by lack of Cal/Mg
