Bong without a screen

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Cheehwawa, Aug 20, 2008.

  1. Is it safe to use a waterbong without a screen? Like, does the screen really prevent from any averse health effects? Is the water good enough to filter out any undesirables?

  2. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but a screen is something put on the bottom of your bowl so your ground up bud doesn't fall through. It doesn't screen out carcinogens or anything...

  3. you're just gonna be sucking some through and have messy bong water.

  4. you dont need a screen with a bong unless you have some really ground up weed that would otherwise fall though. Its not going to filter out anything really.

  5. If you're worried about inhaling carcinogens don't smoke weed.

  6. dont smoke anytyhing for that matter lol..

screens dont filter out"bad stuff" i dont what your thinking :x

  7. Well, the water helps out a bit, but you do still inhale carcinogens. If you've read up on marijuana's ill effects, you'd know that even though it does contain carcinogens, there are no links between smoking marijuana and cancer. If you're that worried, a vaporizer is the best route, as it doesn't burn the marijuana, giving you a much safer smoke in the process.

  8. Alright guys, thanks. I thought the screen filtered shit out, haha, guess they dont so I wont be buyin any anymore
