Bong troubles

    Howdy my fellow blades. Im currently having an issue with my bong. I bought a used 15 standard bubble base gear of my friend, knowingly of the broken bill piece and stuck downstem. Know the bill piece isnt the problem, the downstem is. im debating on whether to just pull it out as hard as i can, but that would break it. And i already tried. I even tried vinegar and iodized salt. Nothings working because it just seems too stuck. Im pretty sure itll break if i just try and pull it out. I think the problem is that theres just too much resin buildup. Plz help everyone, its really getting frustrating and i want to hit my first actuall nice bong. Lastly i might consider bringing it into a reliable smokeshop but my bong has alot of noticable uncleanable resin in it, so i dont think i can just walk into a store with a used bong. If push comes to shove ill have to break it out and buy a new bill piece AND a downstem :(

    What's a bill piece? But ya definitely don't take it to a headshop all dirt, go out and get at least 70%, i prefer 90%, iso alcohol and some epsom salt, should run you like 5 bucks total. Pour the salt into the base of the bong then the alc and let it sit overnight, the next day swish it around and do one more iso wash, rinse, and bam, the downstem should come out no problem.

    Bill=bowl apparently. Lol. You can try twisting it, although if it's cheap glass it might break. But usually when my downstem gets stuck, its when a little water gets in the GonG joing and makes it really stick in there. I just give it a hard twist and it comes out.

    And definitely do NOT take a dirty bong into a store. I would honestly never take a piece that had EVER been used back into a store. It seems to me like it's almost asking for trouble.

    Thank you both for the help. I gave it a slight twist then i used two screwdrivers to pry it out. Now i just need a bowl (bill piece :p). Im reluctant to go out and buy a gear bowl cause their just so damn expensive. Could i use anything form a tool box? I forgot what their called but you can find them in basically any garage. A rachet i think? Btw it has to be 14mm in width
