Bong recommendation for ~$1000

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by ISmokesGood, Sep 28, 2010.

  1. yeah man, i read about all these people that clean their bongs everyday... im not sure why, Iso may not be very expensive, but when your using it every day it can go by fairly fast, and it seems like itd add up.

  2. But I think the point is to clean it once a week to keep it in good condition. This got me thinking though. What if there were police that repossessed your bong for not taking care of it. Kind of like child services, but without the children. Idk, I'm talking out of my ass. Just tired of getting updates on my CP when I made two posts like a week ago.

i like to clean my bong at least 2 times a week and I started using simple green. the concentrated simple green is reusable and all you do is let you bong soak in it over night. highly recommended, save that ISO for QWISO hash :smoke:

  4. Cause its like buying a Van Gogh to put out in your shed? Why would you buy a top dollar piece of art, and then not care for it properly?

Are you seriously arguing that logic? lol

  5. If you use a reusable cleaner such as Grunge Off or Simple Green, this really becomes a non issue. I've been using the same 2 bottles of grunge off for a year. And as for cleaning it everyday, it's worth it to me because its like using a new piece for every session because they're always sparkling clean. Not to mention a clean piece tastes way better, too.

  6. You can clean your bong regularly like once or twice a week, some bongs are alot easier to clean too. Not everyone can keep up to their bongs cleanliness all the time, one thing, changing the water twice a day isn't asking too much.
I have to pick up some Simple green myself because iso is 5$ for a small bottle.

  7. Wtf? I would so -rep you right now if I could.

Why would you -rep someone for a bad recommendation? ew.

Maybe because I do not agree with the recommendation? The OP asked for a 1000$ tube, not something cheap with china trees. Can I ask you why it matters? Since when does it matter who and what I rep?

    Anyways, back on topic.

Let us know how that illy coil hits, hopefully you will have a change of heart.

  9. Really? You're kidding me, right?

-rep is not something you give out for not agreeing with someone...

  10. No, I am not kidding.

This is not abuse of any kind, I think he is wrong, end of story. The way I spread my rep is not up to you, it is up to me. If you really want to discuss this you can PM me. Until than you can stop acting like a child and steering this thread in the wrong direction.

  11. I'm acting like a child?

-repping someone over a simple disagreement is actually considered rep abuse, buddy.

And if you didn't want this 'childish' behavior to derail the thread you would have pmed me.

  12. Yes, you are acting like a child. I PM'd you.

I also looked over the rules again, and could not find where it says I could give rep where I see fit. Many people have negative repped me over mixed opinions, so I am only doing what I have seen done before. If I am wrong, please point out where in the rules it says I cannot give negative rep for something that I believe is misinformation.

  13. If he recomended the bong it's his opinion, not something to -rep someone for.

I asked you to show me where that is in the rules, not repeat yourself. I am looking for a direct statement in the rules itself, showing me that I cannot use rep where I see it is fit.

I have been -repped over my own opinion by some respectable people on this site, and there were no repercussions.

  15. Hmmmmm If i were gona spend a grand on a new piece i would definitely look at some stuff from toro. That or i would have LEAR do something custom go look at his work thread. Hes legit but there are plenty of other custom glass artist out there that make some crazy stuff.

  16. I'm afraid you're incorrect, PHX is blown in California, they are the inventor and patent holder of percolated water pipes.

  17. I didnt know thats who invented percs, awesome tidbit of knowledge, thanks man. +rep

They are borosilicate also, correct? Not china
