Ok so im looking to get a new bong for around a grand. Right now I have a medicali 16" with a tree perc, splash guard and ice catcher. My first thought was to get a coil. My friend has two $1000 coils and loves them. Is that the direction i should go in? What else should i look at?

You should get the the SG gridded Stemline to 12 arm off of ALT. They've got two of em' up there... you should scope them. Hell, you should just browse ALT and im sure you'll find something you like.

Me, personally, I don't understand laying $1000 on a bong either when one can get a really nice, heavy glass spoon with a fat bowl for about $30 bucks, and invest the other $970 in some truly fine cannabis. The bong does not make the weed, the weed makes the bong.

A spoon is nothing like a bong, let alone one that has the technology to justify a $1000 price tag. I also disagree about the "the weed makes the bong." Smoke a bowl out of your spoon and then the next day smoke a bowl of the same shit out of a bong, guarantee you would get higher with the bong.
Well for me, it's not all about the weed, it's about the experience. I am also an appreciator of art, and I like supporting glass artists. Most people who buy expensive bongs feel this way.
