To start I should say I have very sensitive and acne-prone skin! Although I'm in my twenties, so I don't get breakouts the way I used to, only when my skin is irritated in ANY WAY. I literally use prescription acne creams which keep my skin clear with most breakouts. I worked fulltime retail this summer so I wore a mask all day, now online school has started and I picked up ripping bowls every day, I did a month tolerance break for August. I thought my skin would clear up because I don't wear a mask in my bedroom, compared to how bad it was before. Last night after I ripped a bowl, I noticed how the acne around my lips was extremely irritated. I found about 2 webpages about people getting acne from a bong. I have no resin or 'resin lips' after smoking, just breakouts. Has anyone else had a similar experience, and if so what techniques did you use to help your skin improve? I've read to clean the top with alcohol wipes, but that's about it.
Acne forms from sweat accumulation that stays in one place. Due to the mask situation it is definitely that reason, not your bong. Toke on blade!
If weed was to blame most people on here would just be one big walking spot.. the mask more then likely did it lol Your diet also has alot to do with breakouts ect... If ur eating bacon cheeseburgers everyday you'll look greasy as fuck lol
I do notice breakouts when I use my bong more frequently/after not using it, and it was before the mask thing. The mask also doesnt help since im oily. Get a good exfoliator or face wash and use it a few times a week. I also clean the mouth of my bong frequently with rubbing alcohol.
Interesting to say the least, that you experienced a similar reaction after taking a break from the bong. I definitely agree with the others who say diet and masks make an impact on skin health. I booked a doctor's appointment tomorrow to see my dermatologist about changing my skincare routine and I'll have to ask about an exfoliator and face washes. I thought I'd ask the forums to see if anyone had similar experiences. Thanks for your advice
