im going to use approx. 5gallons of soil per hole i have FFOF that i will mix with pro-mix and assorted composts form the garden. my question is how should i go about utilizing bone meal i have on hand .because its primarily a flower nute should i add it to the bottom half of the holes ?how much? also i plan on using soil moist anyone have experience with this stuff ? what is the ratio of dirt to soil moist ? Thanks in advance
Hey man As to my understanding, bloodmeal is used for vegetative growth, and should be planted somewhere halfway down the hole. BONE meal is for flowering, and as I read it, it says to put the bonemeal at the bottom of the hole. ***REMEMBER: Meals take a while to cool off, a month should pass by before you plant, but I wouldnt really worry about the bonemeal at the bottom, its pretty low down. MAIN outdoor grow guide! Oh and about the moist soil, most places ive read tyr to put a 30/30/30 mix of the soil you took out of the hole, new potting soil, and then PERLITE to make the soil airy. If you have the soil to moist it will compact and restrict the roots way to much, buy some perlite to mix in with the soil.
