Bone Meal

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by dbBrooklyn, Sep 8, 2009.

  1. Just bought some MG Organic Bone Meal for my ladies that are in their 6th week of flowering. Thing is, when I read the label it says to mix with soil. It's a little late for that, so my question is:

Can I mix it in my organic tea? (Molasses, Bat Guano, cocoa powder and epsom salts)

Or should I just wait for the next grow and mix it in the soil?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Bone meal usually takes quite a while to break down in the soil. A tea may help a little this late in the game. It won't hurt.
Many organic ferts take far longer to break down thoroughly than our short, 12-16 week cycles allow for. Bone meal, for instance can take years...
Brewing Teas can speed up the process considerably which is why so many people use them.

  3. why are you adding cocoa powder? Never heard that one before. Are you going after the trace minerals?

  4. Your doing this based on the logic above??? Spend your time and money on proven soil amendments (like kelp meal, green sand, worm castings, etc.) that have a scientific explanation to as how and why they work....
