Hey Guys, After many successful grows both soil and DWC i have decided it is high time i do another journal ! I have some feminised blue mystic auto seeds from Nirvana which i will be growing so pull up a chair light a bowl and enjoy the journey. I will be using a DR60 tent with a 250w HPS light in DWC using a 20l res with vitalink nutes and a bloom additive called ace of buds. I have just transplanted the seedling into the res and will post some pictures tomorrow - i have ordered a hailea pump as an upgrade as the hydor one i have is noisy and also on its way out :-( Finally i am setting myself a target yield of 110g as that's my usual yield for the space. As always please feel free to offer advice / critique. B
Checked the plant earlier and she looks established in the dwc setup as initially i had issues with the rockwool being too wet but i think it is all sorted now and i am hoping the tap root shows out of the net pot - still runnung just ph 5.8 tap water. I will post some pics tonight ;-)
sub'd - looks real nice - I can only dream of a setup like this.... nice weight too - thats four times the amount I got off one plant and would last me two years
100 grams in two years?! Man get your toke on, 100 grams would last me just under a month Oh, and subbed up too
thats some awesome toke'age there man... if I were to buy 4 oz's it would cost a cool $1,600 (converted from uk pound) times that per month it would cost me $19,200 a year - you must have some serious growing going on to avoid that.
Not at all, Im new to growing actually. I'm young enough to have limited expenses so my love mary jane can be a top priority, but I feel you on economic limitations. Smoke on each at their own rate
Right then a little update - I changed the res out today and added some veg nutes nothing major 6ml to be precise and ph adjusted the sauce down to 5.9. It is currently running at 350ppm too. I got rid of the hailea pump as it was too noisy - it was doing my head in I have ordered a tetratec aps 300 which I have read good things about so I will let you all know ! The tap root is poking of the net pot so I expect the growth to explode once the roots start to grow into the water Anyway the 1st leaf set are a little twisted but to be honest I am not too worried about this as the last plants started out like this and they ended up fine. Welcome nillan & m0ngoos Nice to have you guys along for the ride ! This is roughly day 6/7 - But to be honest I call the day they get the first leaf set day 1.
nice update bob - looks like we are almost at the same time in our grows to the the day.... In the UK we mainly smoke dutch style tobacco joints, so it probably makes it more efficient with the weed - although I am trying to switch to a vape which seems to use at least twice as weed.
Blue mystic is some really nice smoke. Not a huge producer though. With the Blue mystic you will prob. be lucky to get 30 grams off 1 plant. Not saying you won't get more, but I have grown these quite a few times, and she usually comes in at like 25 grams. She's a small strain.
Last time i grew 2 in one bucket and i got 4oz total in 4ft squared I am confident i will get at least 3oz of nice bud We'll see when i grow 2 it gets real crowded ! I figured i could grow one but improve the weight per plant yield
what type of lights do you use ? i was thinking about ordering this from nirvana too. -smokin'janee(;
That's awesome. I hope you do. I usually always get just over 4 oz. per plant from their NL auto, the blue mystic just hasn't got there for me.
I used to use Sunshine mix #4, and Soul Synthetic nute line. Now just in the last 3 grows I have gone to full organic. Yield has suffered a tiny bit, but tast, and quality have def gotten better. All the autos were done with the sunshine mix, and bottled nutes.
