fuck everyone whos tryin to say legend is his best album, its a greatest hits compilation of his sappy love songs, peep the older protest stuff, you'll find even more meaning in his words.
the song war, which are really haile sellasie's words but o well.. Until the philosophy which hold one race Superior and another inferior Is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned Everywhere is war, me say war That until there are no longer first class And second class citizens of any nation Until the colour of a man's skin Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes Me say war That until the basic human rights are equally Guaranteed to all, without regard to race Dis a war That until that day The dream of lasting peace, world citizenship Rule of international morality Will remain in but a fleeting illusion To be persued, but never attained Now everywhere is war, war And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes that hold our brothers in Angola, in Mozambique, South Africa sub-human bondage Have been toppled, utterly destroyed Well, everywhere is war, me say war War in the east, war in the west War up north, war down south War, war, rumours of war And until that day, the African continent Will not know peace, we Africans will fight We find it necessary and we know we shall win As we are confident in the victory Of good over evil, good over evil, good over evil Good over evil, good over evil, good over evil
you do realize he's dead right? But yeah Bob Marley is the man. Reggae is the best music to listen to when baked or for a pick up when feeling down. I also like to listen to Tribal seeds, Desmond Dekker, Ziggy Marley. Its all good shit
I take that to heart. Partaking of the herb is all about meditation of the body, mind and soul. you can use yourself to discover the herb but you can't use the herb to discover yourself unless you are at peace.
Well said, too many people are caught up in the trendiness of Bob because they smoke herb. like i first said i listened to Bob well before i knew what herb even was(because my dad was a pot head he always had it on in the car) but know that i do partake it has greatly opened my eyes to what Bob has to say.
We don't neeeeed, no more trouble His old shit is my favourite, it has more meaning and soul, especially when it was the Wailers, not just Marley.
I cant get enough of Marley, if you love reggae you should also check out the band Jah Roots. They are wicked sick. Great to burn to.
Ahhhhhhh yes Jah Roots great band... no Bob Marley but definatly a great reggae band.. I heard a rumour that they disbanded and cut all there locks off, are you able to confirm or deny this rumour?
I dont know man i think they broke up because the lead singer wanted to be with his family or something but thats all i know about them.
And we digress...... BOB MARLEY LIVES!!!!! 1. Legalize Ganja 1. Love for All 1. Conscious words of Robert Nesta Marley 1. Reggae music
"And in high seas or low seas, I'm gonna be your friend, I'm gonna be your friend. Said, high tide or low tide, I'll be by your side, I'll be by your side." Toots and the Maytals are another good reggae group.
Big Marley fan, I grew up listening to him because my dad is a big reggae fan. That song is one of my favorites, that and "Who the Cap Fit".
I like the real Bob Marley music Like the ones he made before the all that pop shit His old shit is the best

"They just keep holdin' me, Won't let go; Holdin' me; Won't let go I need a hammer, a hammer, a hammer, a hammer To hammer them down! I need a rammer, a rammer, a rammer, a rammer To ram them down!" I enjoy Slighty Stoopid so much too. "As I look outside it's rainin, pourin Cats and dogs don't wanna think no more About when I gotta get up and get out my bed I'd rather sleep and smoke a b-load instead"
