Blue widow autoflowering

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Purplecontractor, Apr 27, 2016.

  1. I had bought some blue widow seeds and out of the four I planted turned out three were males which I removed after preflower stage ,it turned out that the regular seed was an autoflowering one as it started to go into the flowering stage automatically in the 18/6 cycle
Now almost ready to harvest, was deciding the best time so I cropped a nice nugget and naturally dried it and as I was cutting up the nugent out popped three seeds
The plant has lots of pistols still white just turning colour
Does this mean it's a hernia?
And will it pollinate the other girls in the tent?
    Please forgive the long questions

  2. More than likely it was pollen from the male that went into flower. Did the males sacs open up before being caught? Do you see male flowers hanging from the bottom of the bud sites. They're pretty easy to spot, or if ya flick your plant and you see whiteish dust float off, then it's a herm. Good luck. :love-m3j:

  3. no i dont see any but i do see seed pockets and some of them are dud seed, white
i took out all the males before they started to flower using the flowering the clone technique
the widow does not look ready , it has all the pistils still white with a hint of colour changing ,
i would say 20 percent have changed, should i remove the plant for fear of it fertilizing the other girls or should i let it finish the flowering cycle as it looks like a female,

  4. Usually my approach to possible herms and pollen is if I see it at the end of harvest even the last month, then I'll leave them because by that point if the pollen isnt sterile it's already everywhere anyway. A few seeds won't hurt anything. For example I had a GSC go full-blown dual sex on me, to wear if I flicked it you could see a dust pollen come off. I left it as it was so late and flower, and it was pretty much trashed when I took it down ground it all up and made tincture with it. Fortunately though the buds from the other plants only have a seed here and there. If you can't physically see the male flowers, then there probably not dumping too much pollen as long as you don't have a fan right on blowing everywhere. You'll be good this cycle I'd have to imagine
