  1. Hey All,
Well I am Fiinally close to My first Harvest, (5 Barneys farm blue Cheese and 1 g13 labs skunk # 1)
Theese plants are 61 days old and 40 days into flowering. They are growing under a 400 watt hps with two 42w cfls on both sides and I also Have two 42w cfls on the floor shining up into the canopy, even with out the bottom lighting the hps shines through. I have 6 plants in a 8 square foot cabinet. These plants are around 30" tall. The Temps are 82 daytime and 75 at nite. I started from seed and durning veg I fed them CNS-17 grow from 10 days untill 25 days. I then switched to using Canna Flores for 2 weeks then started adding kool bloom powder for 1 week. Then from weeks 4 to 6 I started using the canna flores, pk 13-14 and Cal mag. Now from Week 6 to 7 Im going to back off the pk-13-14 and switch back to the kool bloom powder all the while still using the flores and cal mag. Week 7 to 8 I will start flushing with plain water and a little molassas, I forgot to mention that I added molasas last week once.
The top colas are 13 inches tall and are close to the size of a soda can around, They should end at about that big around. I have them at 6 inches from the light. The mid and bottom branches have really developed into a nice canopy the quite full so I am very pleased with that. I did not top or prune other than taking clones a few weeks ago, my next grow I am going to try a sea of green just to compair the differences or untill I find a good solid method that works for me. I do feel I am on to something. Anyways I just figured I would share my 1st grow and maybe shed some light as well as recieve. These forums have really helped me out, I have spent countless hours studying and sifting out the good sound advice from the bs. Growing really is about the hands on and learning to read your plants, I love it!!!
I am starting to wonder what my yield is going to be like, Its something I have not wasted the time trying to figure out . But this close I cant help but to guess, anybody want to give an estimate. All advice is welcomem, Thanks!!

  2. A pound? Looks nice, I had a blue cheese this past year yield 3 oz's. Looked similar to those girls. Gj bro.

  3. Wow!! I just got goose bumps! That would be great, A pound! Shit I will never be in pain again! beats the hell out of paying 60 an 1/8 at the dispensery.

I really like the blue cheese it has seemed to grow very well through out the whole plant and its been rather simple to grow. I have tried my best to give them everything they need. Next time I am going to add co2 with my temps bieng at 82 degrees. It seems like that would be the perfect solution for the hide side of my 82 degree temps.

    Thanks for your reply!!

  4. i'm working on some blue cheese also. and i agree they are fairly easy to grow....

as for your yields i'd say an even 10oz....dry....and for when you do dry.....trim and leaves on stems, hang at room temp til the buds feel like they feel dry on the outside, initially you will think you hang dired for too long...(5-7days) then trim of buds and put in paper bag for another 4-5days (this is where the moisture in the buds sweats out and makes all the buds stick together) while in the paper bag open it 2-4times daily and move the buds around, and then put in mason jars to cure.....

  5. Thanks, 10oz's Is good for me!! I will dry and cure them like you said. I have heard about the hanging upside down and paper bag. I was just not sure to use both. I will hang then paper bag em and then its onto the jars for cure. Thanks bro!!

  6. between 6 and 8 ounces. I think you'll see less than two ounces per plant.

I'd still be happy though, I pulled less my first time around.

  7. Thanks to all of you how replied!!!

Anybody else wanna add there estimate or anything?

  8. No replies? Come on!!

  9. 9.35 ounces

  10. Here are a few close up shots, Does this plant look almost finished or what, I will keep it going untill day 60 and likely 70 days for the others. Also included a pick of my 12/12 from sprout experiement and a pick of my clones for the next round in which I am going to try a 16 plant SOG (2 per square foot)top cola concetration!

  11. Was that one in under the 400w with the others?

Thats the way to do it.. SOG Cola Style!:smoking:

Everything in there's lookin' great man!

Can you point out some pics of the Blue Cheese?

    Great Grow

  12. Thanks for the compliments!! All the picks are blue cheese except for the plant in the back right corner, That one is skunk # 1 it looks yummy too!!!
I will post some more picks in a few days. I am planning on cutting the tops in about 8 days if the trichs are 50% amber. Now they are 60% milky 30% clear 10% amber.

  13. Thats exactly what I wanted you to say. Those are just some awesome colas, just how I picture Blue Cheese in my dome. Thick lookin with that blue tint, ya know..

    :yay:

Just cant wait till mine comes!

I'll most definitely be checkin in as you start your SOG. Ive considered goin with a 150w HPS in my space. It's not real logical right now, but someday maybe.

  14. Here is a shot of the whole patch, All blue cheese except the one in the far right corner. She looks great but certinly will not yield as much as the blue cheese. The trichs are now mostly clowdy and starting to go amber. I plan to start cutting on the 21st and a few will need to go a little longer, maybe 5 extra days. My plan is to have a some dryed and smokable by July 4th!!!!!!

  16. 17. Thanks, No i did not top the skunk actually I did not top any. They did stretch big time on the first 3 weeks of 12/12 I was moving the light daily. the slightly more than trippled in size from veg. The skunk did stretch the most.

  18. Thank you for the compliments! I looking to pull 10-12 ounces from theese plants. The garden is 6 w/ 21 days veg and three with no veg. The no veg plants might get me 30 grams or so. I am very pleased with theese barneys seeds, I plant to work with this strain for sure. But the way I am looking into tying the violator kush and the red desil strains.
