  1. Oh my God if you don't have this Mastodon CD go get it now... I absolutely love it

Anyone else pick it up or listen to it?

  2. Mastodon is a great band

  3. Cant say I enjoy Mastadon much, although March Of The Fire Ants is a fun song to play.

What I cant wait for is the new Deicide album, The Stench of Redemption. Ive heard 2 tracks off it and theyre incredible. Very much unlike old Deicide, while still keeping that brutality and "satan i love your cock" themes (hehe).

At first I was skeptical about it, since the Hoffman bros. left and all. But Jack Owen and Ralph Santolla really do a great job, incredible guitar work. Much like Vital Remains.

  4. Blood Mountain? Breat album imo. I havnt listned to it more than 3 times or so, but it sounds great so far.

  5. Total shit compared to Leviathan. There's a couple good songs worth listening to.

  6. Is this opposite day?

  7. Mastodon are pretty good. Leviathan is a great album and they've been AWESOME one the 2 occasions I've seen them. I'll probably pick this sometime soon. The few songs I've heard are decent, but not spectacular. But then again, Mastodon songs usually take a while to sink in.

  8. Exactly.

If you take an hour of your day to rip a nice big bowl and listen to the whole album I don't see how you can be disappointed. But maybe thats just me...?

  9. That's exactly what i'm doing now. Blood Mountain is fucking amazing. Knocked me on my ass. Those dudes are so talented it's not even funny. This is definitely as good if not better than leviathan. I don't know how anyone could not appreciate this music.

I remember seeing them before leviathan came out. They weren't that big yet and i saw them in the tiniest place ever. It was a fuckin basement of some auditorium. It had like a 125 person capacity. It was a crazy show, they almost blew the roof off the place.

  10. I saw Mastodon play with Slayer, few years back.

They didnt sound all that great, i dont know, maybe it was the acoustics in the place because Slayer sound wasnt all that great aswell. I enjoyed watching them though, at the time I was still somewhat interested.

  11. I saw them with Slayer a few months ago,and I wasn't really that impressed.I've heard their studio stuff too and yet again,it wasn't really impressive. There's better metal out there for sure, but hey, whatever you guys dig,you dig.To each his own.

  12. Hahaha me and you are the same page... apparently alot of people aren't... oh well

  13. Their new one is much more experimental. I can hear the talent bleeding from this album, but it's not near as good as Levinthan or Remission.

March of the Fireants, now that's a catchy song.
