Blazing in an air conditioned room?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Jaygarrick, May 25, 2009.

  1. Since I got home from school, I've been smoking in my room, and the main thing I've always been worried about is smell control, so I smoke in the farthest corner, have a huge box fan set up which I exhale through and then spray some ozium - it's worked pretty well so far, problem is, now that I've put my AC in (which is really a fucking relief) I'm worried that the colder air in my room will pick up the smell of the bud much more easily.

Is there any truth to this or am I just being overly paranoid?

  2. to some point yea, but dont worry just exhale out the window

  3. my a/c filters the air, make a sploof out of dryer sheets and put damp towles in the cracks of your doors, make sure wind is coming out not into the room

  4. ac makes it harder to smell smells...

  5. Really?

  6. Well what I meant to address was the whole A/C thing.

You must have a big box fan for it not to fit in the window. I'd open up the window and stick the fan close to the door FACING the window.

  7. yup.

for instance if you take a huge dump in the corner of your room, it will be a lot more smelly if its 100f rather than 55f

  8. I've had some experience with this living in arizona. lol

but no i think the a/c makes it harder to smell the pot.

Yeah but that all goes to hell when the ventilation starts moving the air around different rooms.

I'm surprised you never knew heat rises OP, but it's safer to go out the window then around your house.

If you kept your room at 60F with the A/C, whenever you would blow smoke out (which is much hotter than 60F) it would go straight up into your ceiling, and eventually into your ventilation duct and into the rest of the house.

  10. It's not really that big, it's just the way my window and it's frame are - there's some plastic shit which stops me from pushing the window up all the way... but I do like the idea of simply keeping the fan by my door instead of window, because my brother has been commenting on a "smell he shouldn't be smelling" Pretty sure it's not bud, but probably the intense amounts of ozium I use, which does create a pretty weird smell (in my mind, the sheer smell of the stuff should set off alarms, I generally have no reason to spray it in my room - surprised my mom hasn't put it all together yet)

I do understand that heat rises, but my house doesn't have a vent system.
