Blazed in a cave today...

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by Pfmohr1, Mar 26, 2007.

  1. Ok so I've gotta wait till tomorrow for pics to get developed, but so jacked about this that I just had to share... went hiking with my girlfriend and some friends today, hiked to "Wolf Cave" not far from IU just because it sounded interesting. Took some flashlights and LED headlamps just in case it looked cool. Damn. All I have to say is damn. There was a little stream going into the cave that we had to wade through, but the entrance looked decently big so we went for it. Within about 20 feet of heading in the passage was getting narrower and narrower, until it was about 4 feet tall by maybe 1 foot wide. And the water kept getting deeper until it was knee high or so, and it was COLD ass cave water. I started getting a little freaked out because it kept getting smaller and smaller, but then it opened up into a bigger room that had a big dry rock that me and my friends could all sit on. My buddy then pulled out a J of some AMAZING shit we had just picked up, and we blazed in a cave. It blew my mind. The exit of the cave was VERY VERY small... I looked up the dimensions of the cave afterwards at the ranger's office and it was apparently only 1.5' x 1.5', and there was about 6 inches of COLD water flowing through it. It then spit out into a little canyon with two bigass arches... Damn I can't wait to get these pictures, lol sorry for just putting up a description but this was amazing and I needed to share. I'll update ASAP with the pics.

    PICS BELOW

  2. Sounds awesome.. def wanna see some pics.

  3. I've only been to that area once around IU (assuming we're talking about Bloomington) and it's gorgeous..never found any caves though. Definitely post some pics up of this, haha.

  4. I found a sick spot by this little stream thats close to my house. Ill get some pics of that tomorrow. Smoking in cool spots is the best. especially if its a bit of an adventure getting to them.

  5. Haha yeah this was a hell of an adventure to get to, and Crackrock it was in McCormick's Creek Park, which is maybe 15-20 minutes west of Bloomington.

  6. Definately want to see pics man. I love pics of the outdoors.

This summer I am going to the white mountains in NH, I plan on hiking in the woods around the mountain for a few days, should be pretty enjoyable.

  7. Bet it reeked of sweet ganja in there? All those high little animals having a good time in slow motion.

  8. That was a great story, wish I was there. I've yet to be in nature and stoned, your story just has me feeling more excited about the week long camping trip me and my buddies are planning for this summer. Can't wait to see the pics.

  9. Im about to go for a walk and hit my bong, my nice little acrylic bong and I going down along a wooded path

  10. sweet story, cant wait to see pics

  11. Well got the pics back, unfortunately all the moisture in the cave killed most of the pics from inside, got at least one good one though, but lots of the entrance and exit, as well as from the trip there.

First, this is a waterfall we found on the way to the cave:

    Under the falls:

Random cool little cliff thingy with small waterfall:

Entrance to the cave; it's funny because we thought THIS was small:

Once we got into that main entryway, it quickly narrowed to this:

(Unfortunately this was the only picture which survived the humidity in the cave, definitely sucks but this is pretty representative of what we were heading into.)

Little salamander I found while we were smoking; the blurriness is from the humidity ruining the film:

Here's a pic from on one of the arches outside the exit to the cave; you can sorta see how small that exit gets, its literally 1.5' x 1.5':

At the exit there are these two coolass arches:

  12. wonderful :)

  13. thats sweet dude. good story.

  14. I love caving, theres all sort or rediculous caves here in new mexico. I have taken two private tours in carlsbad caverns one through a cave called spider cave because right after you get inside you have to crawl through a space thats like 2 feet tall and the top of it is COMPLETELY covered in daddy long legs. the other time I went into a side section through a crack in the wall in the main cave in carlsbad caverns. The last room in the cave was called hall of the white giant and it was a fucking huge room, it was like 4 stories tall and about 80-100 square yards big and in the middle was a white stelagtite or stelagmite whatever you call em about 1-2 stories tall. ive been to some huge caves made from lava from a volcano too around here

  15. Man I took a trip out west, went through New Mexico and the scenery was pretty cool. I'd love to make it out there and actually get to take my time exploring some stuff. Apparently there's a lot of caves around here, problem is most are sinkholes or at the very least formed by streams, so they're wet and can flood without any real warning. I wish all the pictures from inside the cave had turned out, just to show you how much water we were moving through. I think i'm gonna make a point of exploring a few more caves around here, maybe smoke them out too :D.

  16. Lol, I guess none of you guys have seen that movie "The Descent" or something. It's just really pretty freaky. Crazy movie.

  17. Haha its pretty funny that you said that actually, one of the girls kept freaking herself out thinking about that movie once we were all really blazed in there. We were fucking with her saying we heard shit just because she was so ripped; kinda mean but funny as hell.

  18. Word! Nature baking! Good man.

  19. that is one sweet cave hike thing. i wish i could saw the others but hey those pictures give me the idea.

ive blazed in the middle of summer by a lake its like a big woods then theres this lil spot where there is no trees or anything and its right next to the open lake. and that was amazing.i can only tell how much better it was blazing in a damn cave lol.

  20. Awesome story man. wish i had something like that around me. Good pics too.
