I've gone to school for engineering... It's apparent in my mixes. Not to mention the dude I collab with got the same flow as this dude and his vocals are on point

For one plenty of well known rappers track over mastered mp3 and even songs. Second, raise the low end on vocals? Are you mad drunk? That combined with side-chaining vocals to the beat have to be the most ignorant thing I've heard of on this forum since I've been here. No, "notch" the eq, meaning lower everything below 250HZ. You don't want to eq the instrumental because it is already mastered and the raw vocal recording is going to have a lot of bass information that will just muddy up the mix. Also, side-chaining (not drastically) would let the vocals be loud enough when they are present without making the backing instrumental be too quiet throughout the song. What would you do?
and if i did that my songs would sound a lot better? i just do that with ease and get bored, sometimes i like spitting real fast
