Black tip on taproot, will this still grow?

Germanating a Northern Lights Auto, 5th day of germanating looking like this, will it still grow?

 

Current state

 

I will leave it for 2 more days if it grows to a half cm then I will throw it in a solo cup and see. I’ve read that if the tap root is black then the seed is dead. But in this case the very tip is black. I guess the only way to know is planting it, your right. Thanks

 

Ok.. I may have over moistened it the past 5 days, could be that. Only way to find out if it is a dud is to plant it and see.
