Black spots on weed

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Krush3d, Aug 8, 2017.

  1. I got Two grams today and some of the nugs look like regular kush and the other nugs have black spots, i don't know if it's the strain or mold. I have two different pictures black nug.jpg bag.jpeg
  2. Can't really tell from your pictures. First one looked sketchy but the second looks fine. Smell it , try a little. If there's any doubt ditch it.

The first picture looks off with those dark patches for sure. Could be some sort of Bud rot that that was left on or was just starting on some of the smaller nugs. Could also be some sort of mold issues, real hard to tell without seeing it in person, but the only mold mildew issues I've had was with white powdery mildew and that is distinctly white and easy to pick out if you know what to look for and have a lighted magnifier. The second picture looks fine you definitely have something to question the bud about though after seeing that first picture.

  4. Unless it is a dead mold, you need not worry. Molded weed looks like a spider web. This may be a little deformity in the plant. If you are apprehensive, don't smoke it.
