Black n purple buds.

Discussion in 'Marijuana Stash Box' started by Dylanzs, Nov 26, 2011.

  1. I picked up a quarter ounce of some nice chron for $40 yesterday from a new connect as my old one was out Till later in the day.

anyway I found 2 average sized nugs of the same stuff but it was almost a deep purple I smoked it separately through my glass bowl and it tasted no different to the same green stuff and the high was no different

it's got quite a punjgent fruity musky smell if you know that really hydro smell a bit like that but with a really fruity smell like wriggles juicy fruit. I'm just wondering because for the 15 years iv been smoking iv never come across some random purple nugs in a pick up that's the same strand as a the stuff in the bag just a different color, usually if it's a different color the whole lot is the same not just some random nug, so my question is do you think the colour change was just due to colder climate conditions, because there are no obvious signs these couple buds are from a different plant they taste smell and smoke the same as the green stuff. Also uploaded is a bonus picture of what's left of my quarter ounce.

  2. its not uncommon.
Most of my buds usually have a hint of purple to em.
usually one little purple part on each nug.

  3. different buds on the same plant mature at different times, or should i say "fully mature" i know what you mean when your talking about one purple nug. It could just be that you stumbled across it and it was random or maybe the nugs didn't mature all the way thru and were picked to early. Either way should get you toasty, so enjoy.

  4. Looks premature....

  5. i know its hairy, but i think the buds could have gotten a little bit plumper so i think they still had a couple days or a week to go on the plant.

Possibly I didn't see the full buds, I only got the heads and some lower parts from the larger buds, the purple ones I presume were smaller pop corn buds on the plant.

  7. why u no share black and purple buds?!??

  8. if they smoke good, blaze em up and enjoy em :smoking:

  9. genetics, growing variables, nugs enduring a frost during grow---all can contribute to random purple, none the less looks good no one trims their buds proper anymore though enjoy em! =)

These pictures don't do it much justice but these buds are so frosty and have such a smooth sweet smoke, gets me pretty damn toasty.

  12. Looks like some piffery brotha!

  13. I was talking with an old school grower I know. We were talking about different strains, looks, and pricing. He said that around our area, he purposely matures the buds and lowers the ambient temperature significantly. I haven't researched, but I'm assuming it has to do with photosynthetic abilities and the different derivatives of chlorophyll for different wavelength absorption. Anyways, he said for his regulars he picks when amber is 50/50 and cures for four weeks. The rest is left to endure a "frost" to make it purple.. People pay more for purple was his exact words..

That's insane I wouldn't ever pay extra for purple unless that shit was frosty as a sugar doughnut, even then I wouldn't pay too much around here mid-top shelf goes for 25 an eighth and 200-220 a zip not the best but pretty good considering the prices of an eighth never changes for the quality of bud only if the weight increase, schwag is really cheap here so that's good for hash.
