I work at CIH equipment company as the shipping guy. It's a small company centered around environmental test equiptment. The owner and the vice president are married. The owner is a serious asshole, nobody likes him. Runs around yelling at people all the time. I'm responsible for taking all used boxes to the dumpster on a daily basis. My usual routine is to prop the door open enough so I can walk in and out without touching it (my hands are usually full). The owner saw me doing it and gave me this whole speach about how the office is like a refrigerator and by leaving the door open all the cold air is escaping. It's a huge fuckin building so I personally don't see how it's a problem. His wife then told me to do whatever it is I do every day beceause she hadn't noticed any prior temperature problems. So I'm walking out in the hot sun with a load of boxes, and when I get back the door is locked. The asshole locked me out. So now I have to walk all the way around to the front of the building, and as soon as I walk through the front door he's bitching at me about how I'm a "fucking moron" and all this other shit. So I clock out and tell the VP "Sorry but I'm quitting, I can't deal with your husband." She calls my cellphone 10 minutes later as I'm driving home begging me to come back and work, she told me that she was now the personel manager, and that her husband had to go through her to give the employees orders. Best of all I got $2 an hour pay increase.
