  1. I'm studying Biology in my spare time and I'm almost finished with the basic Bio textbook and I'm jw what topics do I need to cover (as far as the fundamentals go), and in what order. So far I have these topics lined up, but I don't know in what order to cover them;

    Evolutionary Bio
    Genetics,
    Microbio
    Molecular Bio

    Am I missing any other core topics?

  2. Evolutionary should probably be first, followed by Molecular, then micro or genetics.  You forgot Botany and Zoology, and a basic idea of the anatomy and physiology of the mammalian body is always a plus.  Somewhere in there, probably before cell-molecular you should take time to study some biochem to get a basic understanding of cellular metabolism.  It's a lot of information lol.  I've been studying it for 3 years now on an undergraduate level and there is still a lot I don't know.  It's a damn interesting topic of study though in my opinion.

  3. Thanks a lot man.

  4. Don't forget Chemistry, especially organic chemistry, as it is what makes biology function. Follow organic chemistry up with biochemistry.
