bigballer9381's "Bedroom Boom" 1st grow Perpetual ScrOG

The day has finally come. I have been researching and investing alot of time and money to reach this point. Im starting this thread to document my progress as well as get advice from experienced growers so I dont fuck this up After first thinking of buying grow tents and having to find some that fit the exact dimensions I need (I live in a small trailer with my girlfriend and pitbull. shit is crammed) I settled on just building my own. After collaborating with my brother we had the idea to make it hidden. So we built a wall in the corner of my bedroom to make a hidden room 30" x 86" x 84". We divided that room with a small wall to make two rooms. The veg room is 30" x 18" x 84" with a removable wall and the flower room is 30" x 66" x 84" with a hidden door. The pictures will speak for themselves. My goal is to start a hydroponic perpetual grow rotating clones in three ecogrower spider drip systems. To further complicate things I will be trying to ScrOG I know its alot to be trying to accomplish for a beginner but thats what this thread is for. Im hoping the community can help me out the whole way so I can gain enough experience to help the next newbie out. I kept my receipts so ill make a checklist with prices and all that good shit today or tomorrow but basically im buying things as I go. I dont have alot of money and the $1500+ this is costing had to be stretched so my flower room wont be completely done until plants are about to be in there but for now there is no ventilation in either rooms. (I have the duct work and vents just dont have an inline fan, next thing im buying.) The panda poly film I will be using will be at the store monday and when I order the fan I will have the vegetation room running. Circumstances came up and I had to buy my clone sooner then expected so yesterday I got a clone through a local grower (he calls the strain "cream" but I dont know how official that is) and put it in my empty flower room (I cleaned it out and washed it with a mild solution. my veg room is being used for storage until its up and running) I didn't have any of my lights yet so I bought what I will eventually use for clones now because it was cheapest. So a 2ft 2 lamp new wave t5 fixture is lighting my baby for now. Set my normal fan in there for now with the door open until I finish buying everything else I need. Im tired of talking for now so heres some pictures to get your blood flowin. And I need some advice already..the bottom of my plant the leaves are darker and a few leaves have a white crispy look around the edges? Other then that its in soil because thats how he grows and once its big enough for 6-8 cuttings I will hopefully start having some real fun.

Ok so its been a week and my girl is doing great! gave her some foxfarm nutes for veg at half dose and she loved it! finally got my fan in with my day/night controller and a few other goodies so ill update the checklist when i have my receipts. she is almost ready to cut so hopefully within in this next week or two i get everything ready to do that. took some pics of my praying mantis but forgot to upload them so ill post em next time. things a champ...took out three flies that got in the grow space while I had the zipper down. anyways heres some pics

Hey thanks! Cant take all the credit for the panels cuz my brother does construction so I was pretty much a sidekick building it but it is impressive I dont think its from thrips because I haven't seen any and its not silvery..its stayed on the same leaves its been on and hasn't migrated to all the new growth which is a relief for now. Hopefully it stays that way

 

ok so its been awhile since ive had a chance to post and alot has gone on! sadly, 2 weeks ago my girl started to flower..some shit happened and i wasnt around to watch her and my girlfriend had to move her for a few days and in that time frame she switched..i got back to her and tried to 18-6 her for a few days before saying fuck it and cloning her and putting her on 12-12. so friday i took 6 clones, sunday i threw 2 away because i just did...dont ask. took another 3 to add...and today i took another 2. thats all im taking from her. im planning on using one of the rooted clones to replace her and the rest will go in the cycle. this is a quick setup i threw together adding the shelf and light proofing the top half..i didnt expect my girl to flower so i wasnt ready for that so i turned the top half into the flower room for now until my big one is ready...the lower half is for the clones. took a quick snap shot to show what it looks like..ill take better pictures later and post them. i had a bunch but the hps light fucked them up. tell me what yall think?




also do clones normally wither up the first few days or does that mean they are fucked. 3 of mine really look like shit but the rest look ok..just wondering. i am cloning in soil. party cups until they are ready for transfer. i watered the soil with 1-1-1 gh root booster and soaked the ends in cloning gel for 15 minutes. they are on a heating pad under a T5 2 lamp 2' fixture with a small desk fan to keep the air moving. ill have better pics of the plants tomorrow

 

any advice? new pictures tomorrow i swear just havent had the time but the half my clones are withering...is this normal??

 

yes...sadly still no pics cuz im a lazy fuck but 4 of them are still green and its going on week 3 so i think thats a good sign? my boy at the hydro shop said if they arent dead by now they are probably rooting so im hoping. next time i clone i will use the small trays and maybe a clear medium or something smaller then these dixie cups cuz i wanna see some roots showing!

also i was using bio root at half dose the whole time so i dont know if that was good or bad but it is completely organic so i dont think it did any harm

 

*UPDATE*

first off, still no pics. there have been some complications getting a camera while im checking everything so that sucks. but i will have pics soon because alot is going on! 4 clones have officially rooted. 2 just took off and are already almost as big as the one i started out with. the other 2 are slow starting off but i def see new growth. The two bigger ones i transferred to bigger pots with mix of foxfarm ocean soil and foxfarm potting soil, both organic. and about 20% perlite. im thinking of using general organics line of nutrients and already used bio root on my cuttings and just brought home bio grow but am starting to hear bad things about them so I am holding off on any nutes until im sure what i want. the mother is about 6 weeks into flowering and really starting to show her colors! purple everywhere and plenty of crystals already! after all the cutting i did to her i still think ill get at least a half oz from her but we'll see. she is still getting fed maxi bloom at full dose and loving it. ill try to have a lot more pics here soon. i know its wayy overdue. all for now though. feedback is greatly appreciated
