Big Bud

    I am looking for a very high yielding plant for my next grow. Theres obviously Big Bud but i have some concerns about its potency. Anyone who has grown Big Bud, how does it stack up against other strains. I have smoked many different strains and is it similar to anything else? Is this the least potent strain? I also see hybrids like Big Bud and Skunk. Would this be a better choice? I am saying this because my last grow entitled 24 plants as a mix of Northern Lights, Super Skunk, and Ice from the website Marijuana-seeds.nl. This was my first grow but i only harvested 3/4ths of a pound. I was really hoping for more because i had about 40 lumens per square foot by a 1000 watt MH/HPS. I want to give Big Bud or the like a try for my second time around.

    I am growing it right now. I hve 2 big bud and 1 K-2. The big bud has far more crytals and is far bigger in bud size compared to the K-2. I highly reccomend it. I was a bit sceptical at first as well but I am very satisfied so far. Like I said its not finshed yet but good things are bound for the future. Here is a pic for ya....

    By the way this plant is only 12 inches tall and I only vegged for 3 weeks and then flowered. And It is completly under flouros.

    Never tried pure BB but NLxBB is a good hardy plant. That being said, I've found Northern Lights and Skunk to both be excellent yielders so I dunno if BB will be much of an improvement.

    Thanks guys, i appreciate the replys. BTW dreamweav your plant looks great and i bet its gonna really bulk up. I keep hearing these crazy stories about people pulling like 10oz of an indoor Big Bud plant so im still interested. I think in gonna go with a hybrid because buzb8lvr is not the first person to say that Northern Lights and Skunk are good yielders. I obviously did something really wrong my first time since i was growing both NL and Super Skunk and only pulled off 15 grams from my biggest one.

    One of my favorite plants ever came from Nirvana seeds and yes it was big bud. I think it's a great yealder. You just have to find the right phenotype for the extra large buds.

    I have grown BB from 3 companies, Nirvana being the best. Just because it has such a large yield(their not joking when they say bottom branches can break) does not mean it is second rate. I have read somewhere that it is a mostly afghani plant with some skunk and other genetics mixed in. best of all it does not create an odor problem. after working with BB genetics for about 3 years i still cant say enough good about it.

    there was a time when i bought a half oz of big buds and half oz of silver haze...all i can say is that the high delivered by the BB was far more enjoyable than the haze...i'm even considering growing it in the future. yes, its potent so grow it!!!:smoking:
