Wrong section bud, but to answer your question who ever told you that way was safe or proper needs to learn what they are talking about, I'm assuming your open blasting which from the get go is unsafe, you would need to vac purge at 120 degrees for 24 hours to get quality shatter, and that's skipping the whole dewaxing or winterizing your bho, honestly bro if you don't have the proper equipment I'd leave it to the more experienced that have the proper shit, otherwise your gonna be smoking poison that could collapse your lungs.
