I am going to be running a outdoor grow with 30-50 plants and am wondering if you have any ideas on how we could water them thoroughly and efficiently. it is about a 5-10 minute hike in the woods to a bunch of natural openings in the woods. between 3 people we wll have to water 30+ plants so between 10- 17 plants each. We are thinking either milk jugs (carrying them out after filling from the pond) or some 3 gallon jugs we can buy from meijer quite cheaply. What are some other ideas?
Nice man, me and my bro are growing about 25 plants between the two of us, idk how he plans on watering his half but im planning on haulin 5gal jugs filled with water from the local river canal 2min away. You could get 5gal jugs as they hold more water but if you can find them by your area
yea i planned on something like that, ropes tied on to the handles { }--------{ } so i can carry more and quicker. i figure 3 gallons a plant per week so either 1 trip per week or 3 trips per week im thinking 1 to lower suspision. also growing 20 auto flower strains for quick harvest for myself and 2 buddies.
Planning the same thing, I guess just keep hauling it every couple of day and it'll be worth it in the end.
nah once a week maximum, thats alot of plants to be caught with in case someone did stumble upon you/it. youll leave too many tracks, make your paths worn in and easily noticeble
Saw this post earlier and im thinking what if you dammed up the stream only about 2 feet deep and placed a high powered submersible water pump?
most people dont tell anyone about their grow but this person has already told TWO PEOPLE, but im sure he'll be ok, right? high school kids LOL.
we have 40 acres of land out in the country. i highly doubt we will be caught and these are my two friends that wont tell anyone they know how to keep it secretive so if you dont plan on helping "old greg" i wouldnt say anything.
ya until they get drunk one night and start blabbing.. and maybe not "caught", but probably ripped.. im not speaking from experience or anything..
lol @ justify making one of the biggest mistakes when it comes to growing best of luck will be looking for the harvest reports at the end on season, ill be sure not to hold my breath...
Carrying water by hand is pretty heavy, 5 gallons is like 40 pounds plus the awkward grip and carrying. I would buy a cheap wheel barrow or something to put the jugs of water in to haul.
Last year i grew 20 plants to myself, Im pretty sure i can grow 5 more with the help of my best friend of 10 years, ive grown here before, we have been planning this since August, scouting and what not, i know what im doing
My spot is off of an old dirt bike track that hasnt been used in years, the grass is grown over, the jumps are flat etc, so i can drive my car straight into the track, my plot is about 75yards off of the track so its not really that big of a challenge but i can see what you mean
Your best bet is to all carry a 5 gallon jug that Poland Springs makes. Youl have to measure out less nutrients and it just makes it easier. Also if you wana reduce watering dig holes for those ladies Or what I did lastyear we got a wheel barell put a 5 gallon jug in the middle and a whole buncha 1 gallons around it ( youd be suprised how much you could fit in there) and then have your friends caryy 2 in each hand it's not hard
how about digging a hole(near your plants/undercover) make it pond style lol, line it with black plastic, spend one day filling it up. you can water from it AND control ph and such since its isolated. sounds like some work but if the soil isnt too hard it wouldnt be too bad
