I have a nice little collection going now, How do you guys store your seeds ? I was thinking of picking up some cosmetic containers. But was thinking do they need to be able to get air ? Should they be stored in fridge ? Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I use these for most, and store in refrigerator. I don't like opening the larger seed holders, and pouring seeds into these, but the smaller seed holder will fit.
I tried both links and they didn't work for me. At the OP, Refrigeration is mandatory for long term storage. Try to avoid temperature swings, consistant cold temps are what you need. The seeds should be at less than 5% moisture content prior to packaging as well. The individual seed containers should be light proof too. Today's Forcast... Partly Cloudy With A Chance Of Amber.
They usually come in a baggy or a wee click-cap mate. Perfectly safe to just chuck that in the fridge or freezer to prolong life.
do people hate getting weed with seeds in it? or do most just like the fact they also invested in seeds as well as weed which they only smoke? unintentional good investment?
I got an oz of weed from a dispensary that had 140 seeds in it. I know because i picked every single one out before the wife made butter with it.
Is there any of these dispensaries that actually provide weed that’s been grown properly? Would I fuck be parting with my wages for seedy weed. Especially at that level. Probably lost half your weight in seeds lol. Any ol street dealer has better gear than that. Think I’ve seen seedy weed about 3 times in my life and I’ve been blazin 18 years. Not hard to grow non seed infested weed. Shows the incompetence of the suppliers.
I’ve seen a few guys saying they’ve popped seeds thatve been in a cupboard for 20 years. I’ve done 2 years. They’re in the freezer now though just incase.
I call bullshit on 20 years in a cupboard. The longest ive seen personally was 11 years from the freezer. 1 from 15. Sent from my SM-G950F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Freezer is mandatory for anything over 3 years unless its some freak seed. Sent from my SM-G950F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
I've popped seeds well over a decade old on several occasions without issue. I keep seeds in my sock drawer. Dooms day prepers keep all sorts of seeds in stock for long periods of time. All you need is a cool dry place. Freezing isn't going to increase the long term viability of a seed. It wont hurt just uneceasary is all. Freezers can actually pull in moisture depending on how often it is opened and how well the compressor is working. A cool dry place is always the best choice.
