Best way to smoke kief

    I'm thinking out loud here because my new grinder is getting a good amount of kief.

    We all know that when you put flame to pot the TOP part burns up and no THC is activated but below the actual BURN the heat activates the psycho qualities of THC

    So - am I right in thinking that if you put kief below the cannabis this is the best way? (when smoking in an ordinary pipe). I don't want flame to touch the kief.

    OR - am I totally wrong.

    You are overthinking it.
    It doesn't matter about the flame as it burns either way, that being said we layer it so one doesn't get it all and the other gets none. If you are smoking it alone then it absolutely doesn't matter.

    No no - newest research tells us that direct flame burns and does not produce the psychoactive THC - only the heat activates the psychoactive part of THC. More flame, less THC, that is why you should never ever just char a whole bowl with flame. At least according to science. But layering does seem like the best way.

    It's simple enough to hold the flame away from the keif so that none of it is destroyed before it's vaporized.

    Possibly true and since different Compounds vape at different temps meh I'm not sure but with anything you need the entire facts. Until we start seeing real research I'll stick with he's overthinking it.

    You heat it and inhale the smoke it doesn't disintegrate. I've done it both ways and other than not sharing with my wife or the other way around I've noticed no difference if there is one.

    One trick my friends and I have employed in the past, especially if you're trying to make what kief you do have go further, is break the nug into tiny chunks (doesn't work quite as well ground), and layer some weed at the bottom, layer all your kief evenly in the middle, then cover the top with a slightly thicker layer of nug. Never let us down.

    You can also get cannaoil, dip your bud in that and then after it dries a bit cover it in kief. When you grind it then the kief will be naturally spread. WOW.

    I like to press my kief into a thin patty with rolling papers, the put 2-3 screens in my bong. Toss the good stuff on top of the screens and hit it at the corner, getting as little burn as possible while still getting a cherry. Sometimes you get one hit, sometimes you get 5, either way, just be gentle with the fire and it'll get you pretty baked.

    Also, I rarely smoke kief with weed. It's usually my last smoke before I'm dry, so that's why I press it. Plus, it makes it a lot easier to handle.

    So much BS in here.

    Throw kief on a small flower bowl and smoke it.

    Enjoy it, don't analyze it.
