Best way to grow a small plant?

    Just for personal use it was an idea I was wanting to grow just one smallish plant in my garden mixed in with my tomatoes and plant some lavender to mask the smell later on in the summer and it's not exactly legal to grow where I live any advice?

    Steer manure ,  Garlic, Onions maybe even a nasty ol compost pile

    So lavender wouldn't do well cause I grow tons of garlic and onions I just thought the sweet smell in case it is a fruity strain

    Yeah it may help its also a wife's tale to plant  Lavender and Rosemary in your garden for good luck or what not
