Best way for me to veg WW in DR80 and # of plants

    Hey everybody good morning :)

    The subject pretty much summarize my questions. I'm about to start 1st grow and want best way to grow out ww. I know it can get tall, so in a dr80 what's the beat strategy....? TO top sO they stay small/bushy? Or just let them grow tall? Short veg topped so they don't get too tall?

    I was originally gonna use 5 gallon pots, but in a dr80 they will get too tall? Or if I train them they will fit ok? I was going to plant about 6 seeds that way I can get a couple females (hopefully).

    I know yield is better with longer veg... But what about short veg? Will they be too bushy if I train/top?

    This will be grown under 400w cmh in DR80 using most likely promix/perlite and dynagro nutes

    I know I could do scrog, but don't think I want to 1st grow. I want to make sure I get at least 1 female. Thoughs?

    If you want to make sure that you get females you can order some femenized seeds or get some clones. I dont grow in tents so not sure if 5 gallons pots would be best for that size of tent, its not very wide or deep, less then 3X3. If you dont want to scrog then go with some LST. Some marijuan strains can stretch 2-3 times their hieght when in flowering. I would look for a Indica/Sativa strain that is more Indica dominent.

    if your growing in 5 gals you could fit like 2-3 BBs scrogged in there and yield a nice amount.

    Well I've already got the ww/Ice seeds so I need to use those. So it sounds like 3-4 plants, no issues. I will plant 6 seeds and hope for a couple females! Just have to train them so they don't get too big right?

    The veg time will depend on when I get started. So does it matter how long I veg for in 5g pots, if I train/top them??

    The longer you veg for the more they will stretch when in flowering. Look up the info on your seeds to see what their growth is, for example short and bushy, medium hieght or like tall. Some plants can stretch upto 2-3 times their hieght in flower so if you veg it to 1 foot it might stretch to 2-3 feet in flowering. Also a general rule on regular grow pots is 1 gallon of pot size for each foot of plant growth. So if you use a 5 gallon pot or bucket you dont want to go above 5 feet of plant growth even if doing LST.

    ok thanks man! exactly what i was looking for.

    about how long is veg time for WW up to 1.5ft? I figure veg to 1.5ft, then flower...Should be enough room in dr80 to support the height i think

    No idea, I never grew WW. best guestimate a month maybe a little more or less.
