Best Vaporizer Usage

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by blackflip, Oct 16, 2006.

  1. I am just wondering...
How can I maximize the potency of THC using my Vapor Cannon Handsfree Vaporizer? I read that vaporizing is the most efficient way of acquiring the desirable effects of cannibus... but it does not feel that way to me.

Also, when is the cannibus "spent"? Pictures? What should it look like?

  2. You dont have to do much to maximize the potency. The vaporizer does all the work for you.

THC has one of the lowest boiling points out of all the elements of cannabis, so you can be sure that If you are gettin vapor, you're getting THC. My recommendation would be to find whatever setting works for you.

If you go to the bottom of the first post in this thread theres a list of the boiling points, and desired effects of the active elements. While your vape doesnt have absolute temperatures, you can get a general idea of what elements you get at a high temp vs. a low temp.

The vape high definitely feels different from that of a high achieved by smoking because you're only getting the lower spectrum of cannabinoids and other active ingredients. These ingredients typically give you more of a heady, clear high whereas the ones achieved through combustion are more stony and lethargic.

Things to experiment with if you want to change up the high:
-start w/ a low temp and work your way up noticing the differences in feeling according to the list in the other thread.
-change the speed you draw from the whip. the slower you draw, the higher the temp around the herb is getting.
-hold your hits in for 7-10 seconds. its debatable whether or not this is simply a placebo effect or not, but i think it works.

As for when your bud is spent, Again its a personal call. Some people blacken their herb till it tastes like ass.

I prefer to keep a low vaping temp on my vaporcannon (between 11 and 12 o'clock on the dial) and hit the buds till they turn golden brown and get crunchy.
    Heres a before and after.

  3. if you really want to maximize your herbs potential, save your vaped herb, make cannabutter with it (note: you should boil/sautee at least an hour in butter to be sure you get the most out of it), and throw it in some baked goods.

    they work very well.

  4. I vape till I get a hit that tastes like popcorn. That's when i know it's done.

  5. thanks guys! your input was extremely helpful!!

  6. when i use my vape i know i found the right temperature when the vapor is somewhat thick, but a whispy white color when blown into a light and disipates pretty much right away- if it tastes like smoke or looks like smoke when you breathe it out (kinda lingering in the air) u should turn down the temp
