I think it would be hard to use because it is really hard to see what you are looking at and 200x is pretty high power. What do you think about Amazon.com: EyeClops BioniCam: Toys & Games
my only problem with the eyeclops is that is has that lil screen on it. Id rather not pay for the screen and just view the pictures on my computer.. u know?
Dig it - just visualizing you holding that hand-held at something interesting to look at and trying to run the computer at the same time...
running a computer isn't that difficult... you press on, and it kinda does the rest. If your talking about portability... laptop? But that looks like a cool microscope. (having not known much about microscopes)
In all the discussions that pop up on GC about magnification to view trichs, I've never seen someone recommend a particular USB microscope. The recco's invariably are for the Radio Shack pocket microscope (around $12) and/or jeweler's loupe. A USB scope would do great, just not sure you will get much guidance on here about that.
Yups ... I had some issues with the RD 60x - 100x with focus and target finding. There is a tiny 45x that works really well IMHO. The standard 20mm 30x is a decent lens.
That Radio Shack scope can be tricky to use, because with every change in magnification you have to change the focus as well. The key is to take a tiny snip from the bud and putting that on a piece of white paper to look at under magnification, not to try to hold the scope up to the bud on the plant.
Hey Nucan! I think "best" is variable and it depends on your situation. What it is best for me might now be the best for you. But if you're looking for microscope recommendations I'd advise you to start with best digital microscope reviews which also helps you to understand which of the advantages will be useful and handy for you! Thanks!
